Vote AI Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 2026 • Version 2.2 • Binding Legal Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or utilizing the Vote AI platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a political campaign committee or corporate entity, you represent that you possess the lawful authority to bind that entity.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 13 years of age to view content, and at least 18 years of age (or the legal voting age in your jurisdiction) to create voter accounts and make political contributions. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and are liable for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

  • Voter Suppression & Deception: Disseminating false polling locations, inaccurate voting hours, or misleading absentee ballot deadlines.
  • Unauthorized Impersonation: Creating false personas of political candidates without authenticated FEC/state filing credentials.
  • Adversarial Exploitation: Prompt-injecting or jailbreaking AI safety guardrails to generate deceptive deepfakes or hate speech.
  • Scraping & Denial of Service: Automated scraping of platform data or executing load attacks against API infrastructure.

4. Candidate Likeness & Persona Ownership

Candidates and their registered authorized committees retain full ownership over their name, photographic likeness, official trademarks, and campaign materials. Vote AI receives a limited, non-exclusive license solely to process and display candidate personas on the platform. Candidates retain the unrestricted right to modify knowledge documents or revoke voice synthesis likeness consent at any time through the campaign dashboard.

5. AI Generated Content & Disclaimers

Responses delivered by candidate personas and VoteBot are generated by artificial intelligence constrained by retrieved public policy records. While Vote AI implements state-of-the-art anti-hallucination pipelines and source citations, responses should not be considered binding legal commitments or formal election filings. Citizens are encouraged to inspect the provided source citation links to review primary source documentation.

6. Political Contributions & FEC Compliance

Political donations made via Vote AI are subject to federal and state campaign finance laws. By submitting a contribution, you certify that:

  • You are a United States citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (green card holder).
  • This contribution is made from your own personal funds, and not provided by another person or entity.
  • You are not a federal government contractor.
  • You have not exceeded the applicable statutory contribution limit for this election cycle.

Contributions to political campaigns are non-refundable once disbursed to the recipient candidate committee.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Vote AI service, branding, software architecture, UI design, algorithms, and documentation are proprietary property of Vote AI and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.

8. Limitation of Liability & Warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In no event shall Vote AI, its officers, or affiliates be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of the platform.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through binding confidential arbitration.
